“Then. Now. Forever. Together.” The WWE video, with the mysterious QR code images flashing throughout, plays us into the show.

Video: WWE Clash at the Castle highlights from this past Saturday.

Backstage Segment

A furious Drew McIntyre is shown walking backstage. McIntyre came up short in his World Heavyweight Championship match against Damian Priest, thanks to CM Punk.

Seth “Freakin” Rollins returns to WWE Raw

“BURN IT DOWN!”

Seth “Freakin” Rollins, who hasn’t been seen since he interfered in the Main Event of WrestleMania 40 on Night Two, makes his way to the ring to an enormous reception. Rollins is clad in a white suit with a white fedora. The music stops, and the crowd loudly sings his theme song. Rollins bows before the crowd. They chant, “Welcome back!” Rollins is fired up and throws his fedora to Pat McAfee. Rollins says, “Corpus Christi… let me welcome you back to Monday Night Rollins!” Rollins is going to introduce them to their host for the evening. He is a visionary. He is a revolutionary. He is Seth “Freakin” Rollins.

The crowd starts to sing his theme song again. Rollins says he’s missed everyone. Rollins wants to cut to the chase since they want to sing all night. He’s back for one reason. He’s seen them all, faced them all, and done it all. Rollins got into this business not to be one of the best. Rollins got into this business to be the very greatest, best of all time. Rollins can’t do that without getting back the championship that he made, the World Heavyweight Championship.

The Money in the Bank briefcases are shown above the ring. Rollins says Money in the Bank is only a few short weeks away. Rollins can climb a ladder pretty well and is quite familiar with the contract. It is the fastest way for him to get back in the mix for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.

World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest has something to say about that as he makes his way to the ring. Priest gets in the ring, and the crowd boos him. Priest says he’s not being sarcastic. He wanted to come out here to welcome Rollins back. Rollins looks great and looks healthy. It’s sincerely great to have him back. Priest says he’s been wanting some face-to-face time with him because he wanted to tell Rollins that he wanted to cash in the Money in the Bank contract on him. It was out of respect. That didn’t happen, and Priest is doing ok. It’s not Monday Night Rollins. It’s the show where they all rise for El Campeon.

Rollins cackles and says Priest had a long weekend. He almost lost a leg in Scotland. Rollins gets where he’s coming from. They’re actually a lot alike. They both made their names in groups. Priest made his name in the Judgment Day. Rollins made his name in the greatest group of all time, The Shield. They both held the Money in the Bank contract for a long time before cashing in for their first World Title at WrestleMania. The one thing that separates them is that at some point, Rollins grew a set. Rollins wants to be the greatest of all time. To have that legacy, he has to stand on his own two feet. Rollins has a question for Priest: what kind of champion does he want to be? What does Priest want his legacy to be in this industry? Does he want to be the greatest of all time or a footnote in the Judgment Day?

Priest says it’s a fair question, but he wants to remind Rollins of something. Priest was Rollins’ first challenger for the title. At the time, Rollins beat him because he was better than him. Times have changed. On Saturday, he almost lost his leg. People thought he’d be relinquishing the title, but the only thing he wants to relinquish is Rollins thinking he’s better than Priest. If Rollins wants to see what kind of champion he is, how about he forgets about the ladders and has a title match against him at Money in the Bank? Rollins asks if this is a trap. Priest insists that this is not a trap. The Judgment Day doesn’t know he’s out here. Does Rollins want a shot at Priest’s World Title or not? The crowd chants, “YES!” Rollins says, “Well, if it’s that simple, then I accept your challenge. Just remember this, Priest. As long as I’m around here, this show will always and forever be Monday Night Rollins!” Rollins walks off.

Pretty decent surprise to have Seth "Freakin" Rollins open the show. The crowd was definitely hot for him. It's going to be Rollins vs. Damian Priest for the World Title at #MITB. Should be a good one. #WWERaw

Raw General Manager’s Office

Earlier today, Chad Gable came into Raw General Manager Adam Pearce’s office with Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa. Gable says if it wasn’t for his #1 Disappointment, and the others, he’d have the Intercontinental Championship. Gable wants another shot. Pearce says Gable has had opportunity after opportunity, but the best thing for him is to go to the back of the line and win his way back to the title. Gable is not happy about that. He’s a leader and belongs at the front of the line. Gable tells Pearce to find him someone worthy. Pearce says he has the perfect opponent for him. Gable tells Pearce to line it up and make it official. Pearce looks pleased to make this official.

Back to live action, Chad Gable makes his entrance with Akira Tozawa, Otis, and Maxxine Dupri, who is on crutches now after this past Saturday’s mishap. Gable will find out who his worthy opponent is, next.

Gable gets up in the center of the ring and sneers at Alpha Academy. Gable demands the three of them get in the ring. The crowd chants, “You suck” at Gable. Maxxine Dupri, who is on crutches, is helped into the ring. Gable takes the crutch from her and throws it out of the ring. Gable forces her to hobble out of the ring. Gable turns Tozawa around and shoves him before slapping him in the face, knocking him down.

Otis turns and looks at Tozawa down on the mat before sneering at Master Gable. The crowd is buzzing. Otis then wipes out Gable with a shoulder tackle! Otis rips his shirt off, and Gable retreats to the corner, begging his star pupil off! Otis is fired up, but he doesn’t attack Gable any further. The crowd chants, “Otis!” Otis leaves the ring and helps Tozawa and Maxxine to the back. Tozawa looks like he has a split lip from the slap. Otis, Maxxine, and Tozawa look emotional as they walk off on Gable. Gable gets up and throws a fit in the ring.

Otis has just SNAPPED!#WWERaw pic.twitter.com/r19ZSvExUc

— WWE (@WWE) June 18, 2024

I'm not sure if that's a full break with Otis and the rest from the Chad Gable, but they had to give the crowd SOMETHING after weeks of dragging that out. They gave them a little taste and can drag this out even more if they want. Have Otis reconsider, yadda, yadda. #WWERaw

Pat McAfee’s Telestrator

Replays from last week’s Raw show the controversy surrounding the room key the Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan gave to “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio. Morgan would get knocked onto Mysterio later in the show, and Mysterio looked conflicted. Finn Bálor would ultimately take the key for himself.

Yesterday, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan wished “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio a Happy Father’s Day and called him Daddy.

The Judgment Day Clubhouse

World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest comes into the clubhouse. Finn Bálor says he has Priest’s back against Seth Rollins. Priest wants to talk about Bálor taking the hotel key. Bálor says he’ll cash in… on Cody Rhodes. Priest just wanted to make sure they’re on the same page. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio is having trouble finding his purple cow vest. Carlito jokes that he might have left it in Liv Morgan’s hotel room. JD McDonagh says that isn’t happening. Carlito is told to get ready for his match. Priest asks Bálor if he’s talked to Rhea Ripley. Bálor says he’s staying far away from that.

IYO SKY makes her entrance. She’ll be in a Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifying Match next.

Winner by Pinfall: IYO SKY

IYO SKY has qualified for the Women’s Money in the Bank match. Morgan taunts Vega at ringside.

Decent #MITB Qualifying Triple Threat Match. IYO SKY came out on top, as she should have. Kiana James didn't look fantastic in this. She's a little slow motion and needs some more reps in the ring, getting used to being outside the Performance Center. #WWERaw

WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring to a big ovation. We’ll hear from Zayn next.

-Commercial Break-

Sami Zayn addresses what’s next for the Intercontinental Championship

WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn’s comedy show is coming in July.

Zayn stands in the center of the ring, and the crowd chants, “Sami!” Zayn says he’s proud to walk into Corpus Christi still the Intercontinental Champion. This past Saturday at Clash at the Castle, Chad Gable didn’t make it easy. With all the personal stuff between them, it started because Zayn beat him in a wrestling match. Now after months of games and sneak attacks, it’s over because he beat him in a wrestling match. As far as Zayn is concerned, he is moving on from Chad Gable. It isn’t easy to move on from the Alpha Academy, but they have to do things on their own time. Zayn didn’t leave the Bloodline until he was ready. Jey Uso didn’t leave until it was his time. A loud “YEET” chant picks up. When Otis and the Alpha Academy are ready, they will leave Chad Gable, too.

Now, Zayn has to look forward and defend his Intercontinental Championship against anybody and everybody. Bron Breakker makes his way to the ring. Breakker grabs a microphone and sneers at the Intercontinental Champion. The crowd barks at Breakker. Zayn asks if Breakker really interrupted him just to stand there, or does he have something to say? Breakker says he doesn’t have to say much. Zayn knows why he’s out here. Zayn knows what he is capable of doing in this ring. Breakker has left a long list of bodies since being here. Zayn is next on his list because he is taking that Intercontinental Championship.

Zayn steps up to Breakker and holds the Intercontinental Championship up. Sheamus makes his way to the ring. Sheamus gets a good ovation. Sheamus tells Zayn to pump the brakes and calls him a fellow “Gingah ninja.” Sheamus has chased this title for years, putting on banger after banger. If Zayn is going to give opportunities for it, he should consider Sheamus. Sheamus says he respects Zayn a lot. When that opportunity arrives, he’ll do whatever it takes to get the title. Breakker shouts at Sheamus and asks if he’s going to act like he’s not standing here. Nobody cares about Sheamus and the list of titles he hasn’t won with the sob stories. They all know what happens when you get in Breakker’s way. Sheamus is in his way, and he’ll kick his ass. Sheamus asks what he’s going to do… put him on his stupid list? Sheamus says Breakker is co*cky and on the run of a lifetime, but as far as the title goes, he has no skin in the game. Breakker is the new “kid.” Sheamus tells Breakker to go to the back of the line before he makes him. Breakker angrily stares at Sheamus.

Zayn says it sounds like they need to sort this out. Zayn is going to talk to Adam Pearce. Corpus Christi doesn’t want to see them talk it out. They want to see them fight it out later tonight. The crowd approves. Zayn walks off. Sheamus and Breakker continue to stare at each other.

Sheamus vs. Bron Breakker tonight? Yes, please!

Perhaps a Triple Threat for the title at #MITB? Sheamus being there allows Zayn to slip on a banana peel and steal the win from Breakker, possibly setting up #SummerSlam. I'm interested!#WWERaw

She seductively approaches Dominik, but Zelina Vega attacks her from behind, pressing her briefly into Dominik. Wilde pulls them apart. Dominik knocks his father back. Dominik sends Wilde into the ring steps. Rey attacks his son with right hands. JD McDonagh sweeps Lee’s feet on the second rope. Carlito hits Lee with a Backstabber off the middle rope for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Carlito

Carlito continues to turn the clock back. Pretty good match with Dragon Lee, but the bigger story was what was going on outside the ring with "Dirty" Dom and Liv Morgan. #WWERaw

Video: Replays are shown of World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest getting his leg tied up in the ropes at WWE Clash at the Castle. Later in the match, the referee was inadvertently taken out. CM Punk ran down in an official’s shirt and only counted to two for Drew McIntyre. McIntyre attacked Punk, so Punk kicked him low, costing him the match.

Drew McIntyre addresses CM Punk’s interference at WWE Clash at the Castle

Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring, and he does not look happy. Videos show McIntyre flipping out after the match on Saturday, intimidating the referee and grabbing Corey Graves by the throat.

McIntyre stands in the ring, and a “CM Punk” chant picks up. McIntyre scratches his eye and weakly says, “CM Punk…” McIntyre is too angry to say anything else. Another “CM Punk” chant picks up. McIntyre clears his throat and says, “CM Punk…,” but he’s lost for words. McIntyre says he can’t do this anymore. McIntyre says, “Screw this company. I quit.” McIntyre walks off!

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce runs out to try to talk some sense into one of his top stars. McIntyre says, “I’m serious,” and walks past Pearce.

Another wrinkle in the story, while also letting them drag this storyline out a little more until CM Punk is cleared to compete. Drew McIntyre has quit WWE. I'm guessing he'll continue rehabbing his injuries, which probably aren't fully healed, and come back for Punk. #WWERaw

Replays are shown of what happened toward the end of this match.

The commentators promote the matches for next week’s Raw. There is still plenty of time in this show, at least five minutes.

Jey Uso is celebrating in the crowd, doing the YEET dance.

All of a sudden, the music cuts off. The lights start going out in the arena. The fireflies are out. A door is shown on the entrance ramp, reminiscent of when the late, great Bray Wyatt returned at WWE Extreme Rules in October 2022. The door bursts open, and a white light shines through before going out. A figure crawls through the doorway and cuts through the smoke, crawling like the character from “The Ring.” The figure is a female in a frightening mask. She stares at a lantern that is ominously lit. She points back.

The camera goes backstage with smoke still filling the stage. People are down on the ground, unconscious. A large figure in a bunny fright mask holds a cartoonish hammer that says, “Help!” In the Gorilla Position, sparks shoot from damaged equipment. A person is against the wall, which is covered in blood from his head being smashed against it. Braun Strowman is unconscious on the floor as well. A dreadlocked figure in a mask is shown calmly sitting on a desk amidst the carnage. Continuing backstage, we see a figure in a gas mask. Chad Gable is unconscious and bleeding from his head. We finally see Uncle Howdy standing there. Uncle Howdy walks by the man in a gas mask.

Uncle Howdy makes his way out into the arena, flanked by a cadre of terrifying characters. Uncle Howdy lifts up the lantern and poses with the people. Uncle Howdy growls, “We’re here,” and blows out the lantern.

"WE'RE HERE."

I mean… wow. What an iconic, violent, brutal debut for this Uncle Howdy character and his stable. I've never seen #WWE go that deep into violent imagery like that. That was about as good a debut for this group as they could come up with. I think it would make Bray Wyatt proud.…

I'm trying not to go overboard on my expectations because, at the end of the day, it's still Bo Dallas, Nikki Cross, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Dexter Lumis, none of them known for being great in the ring (aside from Dallas), but damn… I think all bets are off with that debut.…

It's sobering to think that Bray Wyatt is truly gone and not being allowed to create in this type of environment with Paul Levesque at the helm. Wyatt really only ever had Vince McMahon, spoiling his work. I'm very interested to see what Levesque does with this group. #WWERaw

Even though this group of wrestlers all needed help in their own way when booked under Vince McMahon, I think WWE will accentuate their positives and book some really solid stuff. I am blown away tonight. They managed to do something not seen before in this company. #WWERaw

A great way to top off my 16-year anniversary on this site with a true #WWERaw moment – that debut was iconic and will be long remembered. It's all in the follow-up, but I have faith this could be something very interesting. What a moment!
