How do I cash out my Computershare stock? ›

If you are a shareholder of a Computershare-administered dividend reinvestment plan, you may access your statements and tax documents through Computershare's Investor Centre website. The Investor Centre website also is a resource to find historical stock prices for companies that are Computershare clients.

The easiest way for you to access your share information is to use our secure website, Investor Centre. You can either log-in using one of the links below or use the Log-in button at the top right of this page.

Once you log in to your Computershare account, navigate to the account information section. Here, you can easily locate your account number. Look for options such as 'My Profile' or 'Account Details' to access this crucial information.

Direct deposits are typically faster than check deliveries or wire transfers. Direct deposits through Computershare usually take 1-2 business days to process, providing quick access to funds. On the other hand, check deliveries may require 5-7 business days for mailing and processing before funds are available.

Termination and Withdrawal A Participant may withdraw from CIP online at www.computershare.com/investor, via telephone or by mailing a request to Computershare. A Participant may also withdraw from CIP by selling or transferring all shares in the Participant's CIP account.

In order to complete the transfer, shareholders will need to fill out share transfer authorization forms and receive confirmation from their broker. The authorization process typically requires the completion and signing of forms provided by Computershare. This gives permission for the transfer to take place.

You can check your Demat account status by logging into your online trading account or your DP's website. It will show details like account balance, list of holdings, transaction history, pledged shares, if any, credit and debit balances, etc. You can also call or email your DP.

Again, you'll need to start by contacting the company's share registrar, if you know the company name. You might have previously heard of the Unclaimed Assets Register – a database that helped locate lost assets in bank accounts, pensions and investments – and it would have been your first port of call.

If you forget your password simply click on the “Forgotten password” link on the login box. You will be presented with the three security questions you set up when registering.
